No idea what these are but it looks pretty when I zoomed in on it. Probably should have cropped it before uploading but not to worry Marvelous view from up here. Took a couple of panoramic shots but not sure how they'd look on the forum Cheers Tom and Rose

And now for tonight's evening meal report. We went back to Valantis to claim our reserved food stuff. Same as we'd had on our first visit, pig on a stick for Rose and lamb on a stick for me. If anything the food tasted nicer than on our last visit. Our stomachs are full to bursting at the moment so any thoughts of where we may wander tomorrow are nowhere to be seen in my head Chances are that it'll be a wander around the harbour and then over to Ftenagia for a well deserved chill. Again Cheers Tom and Rose

Tom, it could double up to use for your BBQ tonight ?
Lovely day in Blightly today, around 22 Degrees C in our part of the South, we did a lovely 7 and a half mile walk over the Downs, Rib Eye steak on the BBQ tonight and red wine...................................but it's not the same as being on Halki !!!!!!!!!
Keep up the good work.

Nothing special to report today, just another mellow day doing nothing at all except enjoying the moment Tea was at Remezzo again. Stuffed sweet peppers and the very tasty potato gratin followed by their volcano pizza. I'm still impressed by the general high standard of the food here. Usually on holiday we find maybe two tavernas that really stand out from the rest but here they're all top notch. Must give a shout out to Valantis though, it's become our favourite and will be our choice for our last meal on Tuesday night. Can't believe our two weeks is nearly over. You loose track of time here don't you and when the realisation of departure looms it's head you always feel sad Cheers Tom and Rose

Again Cheers Tom and Rose We love the Vilantes Grill, Elena and Vilantes are great hosts, Elena is lovely and always finds time to chat even though she is run off her feet and Valentis is an amazing cook. We first visited in 2008, then 2010 and again last year 2013, it is very noticiable how much the Grillhouse has gained in popularity over the years (highly recomended by Fist Choice - see www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g189443-d1848949-Reviews-Vilantes_Grill_House-Halki_Dodecanese.html) and it is now one of our favourite places to eat. We tend not to visit the same place two years running (still too much of the world I have not seen) but I made the mistake of taking our daughter last year, now I have two of them (wife and daughter) insisting we go back to Halki this year. We will be in Villa Kyriakos in September. Loving your holiday blog, really getting us in the mood for September. Tom, Sylvia and Sharon

Hmmm - love octopus. The smell of roasting octopus is amazing. This year on Halki is going to be all about fish for me. How is the water from the desalination plant?
