Now now, not all of us are that way inclined. We may not care to enjoy the likes of octopus or squid, our tastes may lay elsewhere Each to their own I always say. So to the question posed earlier, we ended up at Babis tonight. The Tzatziki was the nicest we've had so far on the island but the Kleftiko, while still nice, wasn't the best we've had. Just out of interest..the nicest Tzatziki we've ever had (EVER) was at Paulo's Corner in Alykes on Zakynthos. Oh the garlic I'm rather impressed with the quality of the local wine here though, most pleasant. I do like a nice drop of red, Rose isn't quite as fussed but has, so far, enjoyed what's been on offer Cheers Tom and Rose

It's great to read the comments form a 'first timer'. Perhaps you'll get hooked like the rest of us. Must admit quite partial to a nice bit of grilled octopus! Thanks soupdragon. Helps deal with the long wait till September. Keep the postings coming!

Another guess the location, but I'm sure all you seasoned visitors will have no problems with it We may indulge in a pizza at Remezzo tonight. They did look really really nice the other day. I'm still curious as to what the fire water is that the pizza man gives out. Smooth isn't a word that comes to mind Cheers Tom and Rose

If it came out of a plastic bottle it may be the home made suma / souma ?? .. Lethal stuff !

A well used plastic water bottle it was. Not the kind of stuff you actually drink, more something you neck in one go so you don't actually taste it Cheers Tom and Rose

...........another 'Ice Cold in Alex' moment...........down in one ? Keep up the good work and don't forget, just the one pizza between two of you ! As to the clear stuff that comes out of a plastic bottle...............ah yes, barbecue lighter fluid, you can't beat it. Real firewater. JyB

Well that's one way to do it, but Dimitri does a nice Pizza slice that we have for lunch sometimes (I think around the Euro 1.50 mark) and his cheese and ham slices (may be Euro 1.70)are worthy of note with a DIY salad and a drink of your choice.

All we've had from there so far is the bread. Some of the other items have caught our eye though and will be sampled before too long Cheers Tom and Rose

Some of the other items have caught our eye though and will be sampled before too long Cheers Tom and Rose Last year I mentioned that the new creperie /'pie shop' had opened to the right of Minori, and we had some nice stuff from there, including some rather yummy orange biscuits. It is run by the daughter of the dustcart driver, no need to worry if you see anything being mixed up in a green bin. Is it open this year ?

Well we had a pizza each, I ended up assisting Rose with hers and in the end there was one slice left between the two. I'm getting to suite like the frozen yoghurt freebies that we're getting, tonight's was particularly tasty, with a slice of peach Tomorrow, with luck, should take our little legs to Kania. Road way rather than the path that I enquired about a while ago. The half bottle of water is in the freezer and once topped up should see us till we get to our destination and a nice cold one Cheers Tom and Rose
