Remezzo's Pizzas are amazing ! .. the Carbonara is our favourite ..they are the best we've ever had .. as for the ..Suma .. ( Valentis calls it aftershave ) One or two is fine .. but if you start to like it then you know you are finished ! ..

Pie shop has been open all year, can vouch for their taste, excellent place. Highly recommend the spinach & the chicken, oh and all 3 varieties of cheese.... They now do evening food too, limited specials menu but very good. Very nice family & well worth a visit to their place..

Many thanks for that update pda, yes they re a nice family, we used to stay very close to their house. Last Sept they were very busy in the evenings and there was a nice atmosphere with many of the family and locals dining. We'd limited ourselves to spinach and cheese pie for lunch last year but will definitely try other varieties. Again, thanks. JtB

Soupdragon - worth an early start to get up to the saddle at the top of the path round to the fish farm and thence on to Kania to catch the sun rising over Alimnia. Sun rise is 06.05am today, and it'll be getting earlier by a minute a day. View is stunning and worth the effort. For a taste, see here one from July last year sunrise over AlimniaOnce the sun gets over the ridge line, the warm red/orange colours of harbour area are fantastic.

Ended up going the long way around. Forgot to time ourselves on the way there but coming back with a belly full of Mythos and Tuna salad it took us 50 mins to get back to the harbour, stopping a couple of times to make use of what little shade there was. Can confirm what pda says about the pie shop. I was a little confused at first as it looks a bit more like a taverna than a shop. Looks like Minori has opened today too, could possibly go there tonight Cheers Tom and Rose

In a word, yes I had the infamous lamb and greens. Most pleasant indeed and Rose had the lamb chops. Also top notch, she informed me while chewing at one of the bones Had a good old chat with Mike and Maria too. Good people Legs are still aching a bit from our walk to Kania so it'll be a more gentle day over to Ftenagia tomorrow I think. Cheers Tom and Rose

Will do Carol
I won't post a picture just in case it's inappropriate but a submarine has dropped anchor in the harbour. Just off the island that provides shelter for the bay. Saw some uniformed chaps going back and to earlier but not long ago a small boat load of locals went out to it and have gone below decks.
Cheers Tom and Rose

Can't see a flag flying from the conning tower. I'm presuming it's a Greek vessel rather than Russian?
