Sunfun What? Hallelujah? All 32 verses? All I said many moons ago was that LC is the vocal equivalent of Mahler; listening either is the best way to prepare for suicide. I go to Halki for rest and relaxation. If I want to be depressed, and I do not, the odd fleeting thought of leaving at the end of 2 weeks is sufficient for me to reach for more ouzo. ;D ;D Liz, help! Update the filter please???

Enforcer, if you don't want to get depressed then for goodness sake DON'T go to the swine flue thread!!! There's an awful lot of capital letters going on over there

Lynn, thank you for the warning but it came too late; I have already stuck my head over the parapet. Question, is a surfeit of capital letters as dangerous, or more so, than Swine flu?

Enforcer :)32 verses Can't remember it being as long as that! ;D Maybe it just seemed that long to you. As i said,i think it's depressing when LC sings it,but think it's a beautiful song when sung by other people,Jeff Buckley or Alexandra from the x factor. You must admit, the guy is really talented as is Bob Dylan..who can't really sing for toffee, but we like his stuff too Best one for us to chill too in halki is still alabatross by fleetwood mac though.Absolute bliss.

Sunfun. At last we have some common ground; Albatross by FM is an exceedingly good chill tune. Whilst I still find LC utterly depressing I do like Bob Dylan, perhaps the incongruity of his protest songs being played while I was fighting in various Bush Wars put everything into perspective. Anyway, life would be unbearably boring if we were all the same; vive la difference! Oh and yes, the full Hallelujah is 32 verses long. I just do not think anyone has listened to them all and survived to the end. ;D

Good grief no sunfun. It was an article I read that confirmed the general consensus about LC that stated the original LC Hallelujah was 32 verses long. Perhaps I do him a disservice, at least he has not, as yet, visited the whole song on an unsuspecting public. ;D
