Hi Sunfun, welcome to the board ;D Kaity downstairs is what I would call compact, the balcony is very pretty with overhanging " vines " and lots of red geraniums in window boxes. We have only stayed upstairs and a friend had the downstairs studio, I seem to remember it got early morning sun but on that side of the island you lose the sun in the afternoon fairly early. The view is slightly restricted by a very large ruin in front so you get a harbour view rather than an unlimited sea view. I will see if I can find a photo for you and post it later ;D

You need to log in then go to the bottom of the board and there should be a bit "personal messages", you click on that.

Sunfun. If you want to sunbathe on the balcony then Kaity downstairs probably won't be suitable as it had a vine growing over it (great for shade when you've come back from the beach, but not much good for sunbathing). Even the upstairs tends to lose the sun about 3.30 (you have it full blast in the morning) although most of the properties do as the sun goes behind you. We stayed in Nikitas last year (top floor) which had a good size balcony complete with table, chairs, two sunloungers and an umbrella - it also had a small balcony at the back which was great for eating breakfast on (it's also quite modern and air conditioned . On the downside, it is one of the highest properties and there are about 49 steps from the road to the appartment which nearly killed me off on a number of occassions - the view is definitely worth it though ;D. At that side of the harbour (the left as you look at it from the sea) you are also only about 10 mins walk from Ftegnia. We went with DG from Manchester on the early flight and the ferry is about 5.30pm going and about 8.15am coming back. Last year we flew with TC who have taken over DG, and rather than hang around the airport for the later TC flights to arrive (they wait for them and then transport you all to Kamira Scala for the ferry) we shared a taxi to Kamira Scala with a couple we met the year before. This gave us time to have a drink and we got the earlier ferry. Much more relaxing although you have the added expense of the taxi and the ferry.

Liz A little lighthearted banter .It could be that if the for sale sign has gone perhaps it has be sold to developers for the multi-storey car park/cinema!!! ;D But is the property still being advertised for sale?

Thanks everybody for your input :)Thanks for the photos, really appreciated Must admit,we are a bit gutted about the vine as there is no sign of it in the direct greece brochure. However,we are still looking forward to it and will find plenty of sunbathing spots elsewhere i'm sure!Any other info...bring it on!Any more photos?

Thats ok, I was just checking as we seem to be getting postings by one person using different names, confusing to say the least, Liz mentioned it earlier in a seperate post,my apologies to you ;D I presume you are a first time visitor, have you looked at the other photos posted on this board, if there is anything specific you would like to see ask away, someone will surely have a photo somewhere in their archives ;D
