Ferry times 2010

hello all,
it is a problem to find out the ferry times. Does anybody know the ferries for February 2010 ? Does the local ferry run in February ? or the water taxi ?
We plan to visit Halki last week in February.

The large inter island ferry will be on winter schedule in February. Look up Greek Ferries or Anek Line online and you will be able to check the saailings on the day you are arriving. You may find it is only once per week. The local ferries do operate all year weather permitting but on a reduced timetable. They usually run Mon & Tues., Thurs & Frid. but as you know, nothing is 100% and iw subject to change at any time for any reason.
Our good friend Kinygos, who lives in Rhodes MAY have some updated info or perhaps be in a position to get it. No doubt he will reply if he knows anything.

I´ll try it to find out. We plan to travel weekend to weekend. But I could not find a ferry on the weekend until now. Maybe Friday is ok, if the local ferry runs.

Chalkibert. I've just checked the link and there don't appear to be any ferries on Wednesdays I assume there are still more to be added. I sincerely hope so, as we are going to Tilos in August and the usual changeover day is Wednesday

Di, the full summer schedule will not have been promulgated yet.
In August there will always be ferries to Halki from Kamiros on a Wed subject as ever to weather. Being the main transfer day, there will also be connection to Tilos whether it be by big ferry,the Tilos Cat or other. I should not concern yourself at this juncture over August transfers. As the saying goes "You'll be a'right".
The site given to you by Chalkibert is excellent and will be updated when the summer timetable has been agreed.
If Chalkibert says its OK, it is!! ;D With over 30 years of Halki experience, he has ironed out most of the wrinkles.

Thanks Sth (and Chalkibert). I thought that would be the case, but I am the eternal worrier . We are going to Halki in May with Manos (TC) so they will sort out the transfer then, but when we go to Tilos in August, we need to sort the ferry ourselves. As I said, I am the eternal worrier, so even when the timings are there in black and white, I'll find something else to worry about (flight delays etc)

O.K lets increase the amount uf confusion.
GTP shows the winter schedule. The Halki boats are subsidised and have to grant, depending on weather conditions, 4 services per week. Beginning with the summer schedule you will find more connections but not for wednesday. This service is booked by the travel agencies and therefore not official. Beginning middle of may Nissos Halki will start with day trips on wednesday and leave KS around 10:30 to Halki, returning at 4°°
