I had seen the responses on the other board to S..... sorry, "Hilly" and I agree he, or indeed she is a pretty sad individual. It takes all sorts though, and they are not going to have any detrimental effect on my enjoyment going back!

To be honest, I did have a look at that thread and the individual is getting plenty of stick from the others. Well deserved, what a saddo. To boot, he/she clearly knows little or nothing about Halki and it's reps, otherwise he/she would be aware that some ex reps live there, still work there, and a great many have and do return. Those that don't or can't for whatever reason, are in close contact with their friends from the past both on and off the island. Silly person. |

So let's get this right 1 Thomas Cook should stop trying to run a business and lay on an exclusive flight and transfer for those deemed to be sufficiently middle class (but heaven forbid not too many) so absolutely no riff raff 2 All conferences to be banned with immediate effect 3 No day trippers to be allowed within a 5km exclusion zone 4 Only lovey dovey happy posts to be allowed on this board 5 No derogatory references to be made about cynical greedy greeks how about renaming this as Halki Meddling  |

You are so right sth.I did respond on the other board,but the silly,childish comments are still being made,so i'd already decided that they are better to be ignored than anything else...hopefully they'll give up and go away!  |

nancy ..if you care to read the board rather than just take a snapshot view - you will see that there are plenty of opinionated posts -we are all entitled to one.
re TC - yes they are running a business but as a paying customer I am entitled to a level of service to allow me to take a holiday that they advertise yet seem to fall short of delivery .
re conferences ..if it interferes with my holiday ...then yes I will and can moan about it
same goes for day trippers
You will see that it is not alway 'Lovey dovey' as you put it but we are all grown ups and try to respect each other on that level
As for what you describe as cynical greedy greeks - well that is your opinion and you are welcome to it - You'll probably find that most people on here do not agree with you
We do not allow personal attacks on any of our members or anyone who does not have the right of reply - we are not a 'meddling board ' we have no influance as to the running of the Island. This board is a place to chat about a Island we love and help with information when asked .
We also do not allow inflammatory posts which yours is ...any more post along those lines will be deleted
