And another flight delay- TCX467K June 24th

We were booked on this flight which was leaving Gatwick at 09.50AM on Wednesday morning. We received a letter on Friday to say that the flight had" been affected by a time change" and that the revised flight times were: departing Gatwick at 12.40 and arriving at Rhodes at 18.50!!!!! Couldn't seee us getting to Halki THAT night!!)
After we had recovered from the shock we phoned DG/TC and asked to be transfered to the earlier flight at 7.50 (I think. will be checking that before wednesday!!!) Hopefully it is ok now but we are feeling very nervous and hope that DG/TC have got it right and that there will be seats on that plane on wednesday.
TC/DG are useless. We are booked to go with them again in September but after that NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

Hi Jane and Tony, this is just what I feared might happen, is there any explanation ? Like you, we are booked with them in September but flight only this time, we will also be making sure it is the last time. Hopefully the earlier flight will be on time, fingers and everything else crossed ;D

Hi Janeandtony, I'm glad you managed to change to an earlier flight, what a relief for you!
I hope everyone affected is complaining loud and clear to the airline, their name seems to be mud on this site already. I doubt if they give a toss though. Although we are going on Jet2, I would think twice about ever using a TC flight in the future after what has been happening to their customers.

Thanks Carol we have everything crossed too. No explanation they only said "occasionally (ha ha) flight times do change to meet our scheduling requiremens and those of the airlines and airports we use"
I think we are on the same flight as you in September so look forward to seeing you then .

Are all the messed up flights Gatwick, or from the other airports too? If just Gatwick, and if the change becomes permenant, it may be worth changing to another airport for some if they don't live on Gatwicks doorstep.

We are travelling with TC in September and probably next year as well after that have managed to get into Villa Fiona so will be going independantly thank god

Re return fight - as far as I can tell from a quick website check, there are seats available on the earlier flight back a fortnight after 17 June. I don't know whether you are going for a week or a fortnight or longer, but others have described the problems of the late flight back (a fairly long time at a hotel in Rhodes and a night-time journey home on the return journey). I wonder whether it might be worth trying to get a transfer to the earlier flight back? (ie the return leg of 0750 flight out to which you have been transferred). Maybe it's not worth the hassle.
