First album will be completed today - it's a black & white film set of 48 images shot over 2 days. More to come - usual village set, the countryside set (which covers the eastern end of the high plateau and the castle), Tilos day trip and a Round the Island set (that's still to be finally edited as I took 170 shots and it needs to be culled to somewhere closer to 60). Take a while to get those albums up as I'm still posting New Zealand (March) and Sicily (June).

Thanks Liz. Slightly different approach this year as I was less looking to record the island on mono film, more after shadows and textures which work well in B&W. A few of the places and building will be unfamiliar to many, especially Aghii Anarghiri, which is well off the usual beaten track.

We did Sicily with Riviera, doing their Western Sicily and Aeolian Islands tour. Pace quite gentle as the client profile is generally 70+, so plenty of time to explore after the organised bit has been completed. Part way through posting Palermo at present, completed Erice, Segesta and Trapani.

Quick up date - the rural set covering my/our wandering beyond the village is almost fully up in Flickr - will be late am Saturday for sure. Covers the trip to 'other' monastery (Palarniotis), the high plateau area by the ruined windmill, castle and Chorio at sunrise and the eastern hills round to Kania.

Hoped the set would be of interest. A few cover the areas we all know well but most of the set goes to places (or at times of the day - it's an 04:30 alarm call for sun rise at the castle!)that not many get to see. The set round the harbour gets harder to find new angles to shoot but it is also a year on year record of the incremental changes the island undergoes. The cormorant was pretty obliging this time - great material as I'd brought my bigger long zoom lens.

Will be uploading the complete set 'Round the Island' this afternoon - 80 digital images, all with a geotag showing where taken. Taken a while to trim the 180 odd I took down to a useful group which covers the island without too much duplication. That leaves the last of the film images for Day Trip to Tilos to upload and a few then from the Round the island set to follow.

OK - uploaded final album as promised. Easier viewing in some respects than the movie version but there again, you don't get to feel how choppy is at the western end once you round Cape Mirtos... Link: Round the Island
