Hi,
Will be coming to Halki for 2 weeks starting 3rd Sept with Olympic, however our flight [Thomas Cook from Birmingham ] does not land until after 19:00 so expect to stay overnight in Rhodes.
Would be appreciated if anyone who has used this flight or arrived at similar times could advise what hotel Olympic are using for overnight sops and how far from the ferry port etc.

Achousa hotel in Falaraki was one we got after flight delay other guests on late flights that were going to Halki or Symi brought in here to overnight. It is a bit dated but room was clean and got good night sleep there is snack bar at side of hotel(part of the hotel and beer here cheaper than in hotel lounge) then picked up in morning and transferred on The Fedon to Halki around 9 am ferry .We on other occasions have had to overnight in Cassandra in Ixia

If you are on a day flight to Rhodes then you can usually transfer to Halki from Kamiros Skala (35 min from airport) at about 17.30 on same day. On late arrival in Rhodes Olympic arranged a transfer to apartment complex in Faliraki and next day minibus pick-up at 8.00 am to Rhodes Akandia harbour for the 9.00 am Anek lines F/B Prevelis. It is about 2hr 10min on ship. On return journey got the Nissos Halki across to Kamiros Skala (1hr 10min). Olympic use several places for overnight so you could end up in any resort.

Olympic Holidays do not always use the same hotel for overnight stays on Rhodes for incoming holiday makers to Halki who do not arrive in time for the ferry on the Wednesday.
My view is just make the most of your accommodation, eat, drink and chill you will probably be transferred over to Halki by 10am on Thursday morning.
