Thanks to everyone for the kind comments about the little log of our stay, it's nice to think that we've brought a little bit of Halki to those still yet to come. New visitors or old And so to our, and I hesitate to use the word final, meal on this wonderful place that is Halki. As has been mentioned before, we seem to have adopted Valantis as our local (please insert pub, taverna, hang out, somewhere to chill, as appropriate). Rose strangely enough plumped for the crackling pork again, it is hard to resist. I was going to have the lamb on a stick again but some greedy person beat me to it (again) so I had to suffer another helping of the chicken on a stick, a spit stick rather than souvlaki stick. How can something as plain and simple as a piece of chicken taste so nice when it's cooked on a stick? Again, answers on a postcard to the usual address. With having the specials there, I don't think we've looked at the menu more than twice so we've never noticed if they actually serve pudding. Mental note to self that on our next visit we must pay more attention. Anyway, we stopped at the cake/café bar on our way back and I finally found some kataifi. Just going to put the kettle on for a cup of Yorkshire and I'll stuff my face Cheers Tom and Rose

So long Tom & Rose, and thanks for all the blogs (and pictures)
Today we have a changeover. I will play my part as Pastida Taxi services bringing the Chalkiberts to Kamiros Skala.
I may even make it to "The Rock" at the weekend to assess what work I have to do. I may find time for a few beers.
Chalkibert does lead me astray!
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!

And that Tom and Rose sums it up nicely, the joy of arrival and sometimes not well disguised tears of sadness on departure. Welcome back to Blighty and again a sincere thanks for keeping us posted and looking forward to our turn. Stay safe and well. JtB

Lovely photo Tom and Rose, we always say it is the best view when you arrive and the worst when you leave still 14 weeks for us but we are going for 3 weeks this year so really looking forward to it, thanks again for all your posts, it has been great.

Rose has just said something that made me cringe. One of last Wednesday's Manchester flights had been delayed by about 3 hours. The lucky people coming to Halki obviously missed the ferry and were accommodated overnight in................ Falaraki Cheers Tom and Rose

We had a short, unplanned, stop there 20 years ago when our coach taking us back from Gennadi to the airport broke down there. It was late evening and the place was just beginning to get ultra lively. Never more pleased to get moving again!

It's a shame we can't do "Our third time" this year. Advanced bookings are now being taken for it's premier next May though Cheers. Tom and Rose
