I am here again after our holiday in Cornwall but I am useless with anything technical as Liz knows, one of us has to be clever and it is not me but ask me about Retsina and that is a different thing !!! Tom and Rose, enjoy your last day and I hope the sun shines for you, it has been great getting your posts every day and for some of us it has bought Halki a little bit closer, thank you

Poor old Liz. No rest for wicked. Trying to enjoy a holiday in Spain. If I were to apply the adjectives "old" and "wicked" to someone on this board it would not be Liz who sprang to mind!

I've loved your holiday blog Tom & Rose it's been like seeing it all for the first time again and great that you like same places we do What's not to like Liz? It's a marvelous place to unwind or even to wind if that's what takes your fancy. Oh and Carol, it's cracking the flags again today so all is well in the world Time for a small amount of packing then it's over to Pontamos for a final chill. We never did get to return to Kania, I'll have to get myself and Rose some better legs for the next time we come. I know we could get the taxi or mini bus but the walk adds that one important ingredient. THIRST Cheers Tom and Rose

The only things that go through our minds in the weeks leading up to our Greek holidays is, to quote Shirley Valentine, passports-tickets-money. It's all you need really, you can sort anything else out when you get there Cheers Tom and Rose

Tom, you are on the Tarpon Springs Boulevard - yes that is Tarpon Springs, Florida the US of A www.facebook.com/pages/The-Halki-Society-of-Tarpon-Springs/150124025030803The key points are Halki, decline of sponge fishing industry on the island, folk move to USA and grateful thanks by those who made good . I will leave the detailed briefing to others. You last day looks a nice one, so again, many thanks - knowing that we will get a report of The Last Supper - for everything you have done to enlighten and enthuse. As others have said, even for this of us who have been going for a few years, it has been great to see your reports and photographs. It is exceptionally pleasing to see no mention made of an iron, but that is story for another day. Fingers crossed for a smooth crossing on Wednesday. JtB

Something I meant to ask about earlier. What's this all about? Cheers Tom and Rose As JTB pointed out, the road was paid for by descendent of Halki who now reside in Tarpon Springs, Florida, USA. Take a look here (http://www.redbubble.com/people/tomg/works/11865085-the-main-road-in-nimborio) for a view of the road and a little bit of information. You can find all my Halki photographs here (http://www.redbubble.com/people/tomg/portfolio/halki), feel free to browse.
