I've said this elsewhere but just remembered the Food and Drink section - whoops!
The Black Sea has a couple of changes to their menu this season.
Most main courses are now served with chips or rice AND a dressed green salad - lettuce and parmesan shavings with french dressing. Nice to have some greens on the plate!
Also, Hatouna is serving cold sliced chicken with lemon mayonnaise, accompanied by a salad of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, rice salad, carrot salad etc. A nice light dish in the heat. She also intends to serve the salad with salmon, tuna, or cheese & egg.

That sounds good Amanda, quite often after eating a big lunch at Ftenagia that would be plenty to eat in the evening ;D

Ian, what you might remember as the 'old' Black Sea has closed.
Thomas (sp), ex Avra (tartan table cloths), now runs the 'new' Black Sea - in part it is on the 'old' site but he has now expanded along to the adjacent site of the former Muses Bar that, in turn was the meze bar,kai Ftais until quite recently .............
So yes, there is a Black Sea taverna on Halki !

Thomas (sp), ex Avra (tartan table cloths), ! Aaaaagh!! we spent best part of two weeks trying to remember the correct name of "tartan table cloths" as we just thought it had moved to where the black sea used to be (which I suppose it has, in a way )

Funilly enough Di we were agonising about another former Taverna a few weeks ago and in a Retsina induced moment of concentration, the name Omnia came out !
