This was part of a posting abour Ryanair (in Flights) which has now vanished. I reprint the original! It related to Ryanair and Easyjet initially. I would not wish it to be thought that I am immune to the vicissitudes of travel costs. The point I was making was that I would rail against the egregious under sizing of a hand baggage gauge and being charged for “extras”. “You want a seat Mr Kinygos?” Therefore, I issue a warning about another bête noir of mine; taxi fares. I recently took a taxi with two Halki chums from my house to Rodos town and was annoyed with a charge of €22 for a journey of around 25 minutes (€18 for the return). Imagine my reaction to a charge of €20 for a journey of about 10 minutes from my house to the airport on 12/01/11. The driver did apologise as he took the money! This was €15 on my return. I have no idea what the fare from the airport to Kamiros Skala will be this year. The reverse trip will likely be a King’s ransom! I expect many of you will be on an organised coach. Be thankful.

Sounds like us independant lot ;D will need to make sure we fill the taxi on our return journey to avoid exhorbitant costs Presumably the prices will still be displayed at Diagoras for the journey down to KS.
