Took my son & daughter-in-law, and later a couple of chums to Lindos, so went straight past Haraki. I have to say it looks nice, but what time of year are you doing it? That side of the island is in the lee of the prevailing winds so it can get a bit hot July & August. If I feel the urge to go that way I will have a look but, as that will be out of season, I doubt I will get the full impression.

Hi Liz. We spent 3 weeks in Haraki about 9 years ago. It was fairly quiet then, but with enough to do (if you know what I mean). There are three beaches within easy walking distance, the town beach which is a mixture of sand and pebbles, a sandy one over the hill behind the remains of the crusader castle, and a long white pebble beach just beyond the army camp. There was a very good fish restaurant, at the end of the beach, and a very good italian. The bars were pretty good as well. We've thought about going back a couple of times as we really enjoyed it. Word of warning, the wildlife is BIG (spiders, snakes, lizards, and scorpions) although the resident family of geckos were very cute - a bit like sharing your room with a mobile bag of jelly babies ;D ;D Where are you staying?
