I've addded Fergies review in here as it will be easier to find for any future queries -Liz Hi Jan. We stayed at the Kiki the first time we went in 2006. Like you we had no idea what to expect and went with an open mind as we always do on holiday. The studios are basic but you have everything you need. fridge, kettle and a couple of rings for cooking (but you won't want to be messing around too much with that if you are on holiday!). The grill does a great breakfast and the bakery is opposite - both just 5 mins away from the studios along with the tavernas, minimarket etc. I know that 2 of the studios are larger and have a sleeping platform above the "living area" so it can be very hot at night. If there is no fan i would suggest that you go down to the travel office and you may be able to hire one. The 3rd kiki studio is a funny little place and was the one we ended up with. I know someone previously had been there and didn't like it but we had no problems and it was quite quirky! We grew very fond of it. My only comment would be on the ladder to the bedroom which was quite steep and would be a problem for anyone with a disability(or a few retsinas too many!). The bedroom there was fine with a proper bed and loo/shower next to it but the downstairs was tiny. The terrace is shared but other than very early in the morning or later in the evening I found it too hot to sit there for long anyway. Halki is so beautiful - you really won't want or need to spend much time in your accomodation whatever you have booked so don't worry- it will be fine! Last year we stayed at the Roulla another Olympic accomodation. We fondly nick-named it " the cupboard under the stairs"! I would stay in either place again. On your first visit you will be able to check out other properties and decide where you want to next time (I'm sure you will get hooked like the rest of us!). We are going back in September, this time going with Direct because the flight times suited us better. You won't need too many books as you can exchange them at the travel office. Don't forget adaptor plugs. Sun cream is really expensive- take plenty. You will definitely get shower towels - room cleaned on a wed/sat. We have always used the ATM without problems (nationwide debit card). From day one don't leave any food out - there are always ants wherever you stay. I look forward to hearing how you get on.

We have just booked Kiki Studios as it was very cheap and Halki appears to be a nice place to visit.
Can anyone provide an update on Kiki Studios - has anyone stayed there recently. We are a couple - what size are the rooms/studio for 2 people. Does the terrace give a harbour/sea view.
Any additional info would be helpful.
Thanks

Hi Simon and welcome to the board ;D The season in Halki only started last week so probably a bit early yet for this years reviews but keep looking, plenty of people are coming and going in May and hopefully there will be some updates soon.

Hi simon Hope you found the information here helpful. Unfortunately there is not much of a view from the terrace now but you are only a couple of minutes from the harbour and lots of lovely places to while away the time and enjoy the views. I'm sure you will have a lovely holiday .

Just a quick update on Kiki studios. Although we stayed there some years ago I didn't actually see inside last week when friends were staying so this is second-hand information, They reported that the two larger studios have had a complete refurb. Pleasant decor, new cooking facilities (including mini-oven), bed instead of the mattress on the floor. It all sounds very nice.
Also, while they were there (and that's another story!) air conditioning was fitted (you have to pay extra when you get there if you want to use it). They may be having a few teething problems with this but I'm sure it will be a welcome addition once it's sorted out.
I'm afraid I have no info about the smaller studio but would think it has probably been improved in the same way as it's the same owner. Maybe someone else knows?

Well we're only just back It was painful to leave after what for me was the best holiday I have ever had! Loads of photos taken, including some of Kiki studios. The Kiki studio ones I shall post on this thread once I wake up! Suffice it to say, for us, it was a perfect pied a terre, the room was well furnished and the views were delightful. The terrace out the front made a wonderful place to meet up for Kalli and myself, and new found friends who were in the Kiki right studio. The war chest to get back out there starts in earnest

As promised, here are some of the pictures taken of the apartments, You have to bear in mind that this is Kiki "left" and is double windowed as opposed to single window of Kiki right. They are the same size though but a slightly different layout. I have only put a couple on the forum, and linked to a slideshow that includes all the pictures of the studios, including those already posted. Sorry it took so long, but because Halki is so photogenic, I had to weed out a large number of photos, which even by my low standard weren't worth looking at! Sorry about the state of the room, this was at end of holiday and I didn't do a particularly job of tidying up Anyway here goes regular visitor slideshow

He or she had the most amazing blue eyes (but wasn't deaf) I checked. If you stay at Kiki and leave your door open old blue eyes sneaks in.

She is gorgeous and was told in no uncertain terms that I couldn't take her home by Kalli, but I have first dibs on her

Has anyone been to the KIKI apartments this year 2012. Booked for September 2013 twin bedded one. any news would be welcome. Welcome to the Board, you've now found the place for a review of Kiki, and in other places here for stacks of information about Halki. I have never stayed at this accommodation although, as you'll see, some have and I am sure others will come forward to assist. However, I am a regular visitor to Halki in Sept and this is a really nice time go and you are bound to enjoy yourself . Best wishes
