Does anyone know whether online check-in is operated at Diagoras for Easyjet flights?

If you email Samantha at Press.office@rasyjet.com she will tell you immediately if Rhodes has been added to the online check in airports. If it has not, she will know the date when it will.

I will reserve further comment until I see what difference it will make in Rhodes airport. If it gets me out of one of those queues, I'll settle for that.

I think you might have trouble with online checkin at Rhodes. I returned to the UK from Rhodes a few weeks ago and was on Easyjet with Speedy Boarding and had checked in online. Since I had a case to check in, I queued at the SB desk. Some others with only hand baggage were sent back downstairs after being refused entry at the baggage scanning point before passport control. They were taken to the front of the SB queue to 'check in' (again!) which meant that the SB queue was held up for ages. Those who hadn't paid for SB were whizzing through checkin. Very annoying. They might have sorted it out now but I wouldn't count on it.

It will be the first time that we have travelled with Easyjet so we are just hoping that all goes smoothy. At least service at Rhodes airport does seem to have improved over the years. (should I have said that!!) Thanks for the info.

I can now answer my own question. Online check-in does not work at Rhodes. Despite having pre-printed boarding passes for 1430 return Ezy flight on 29 Sept, we were required to check in. The check-in staff took the boarding passes and handed out a fresh boarding card. But it was probably worth on-line check-in to avoid the queues at LGW - and with no weight limit on hand baggage it was not necessary to repeat last year's less-than-5kg-for-a-week bag! A disadvantage is the scrum for non-reserved seats.

Online check in a total farce at Rhodes airport. Complete waste of time. The desk labelled "Bag Drop" is a joke. I've spoken with Easyjet on this issue since return and they said "Yes, there are difficulties". I should have known better. I doubt if this system will ever work properly in Rhodes. It requires a dedicated security scanner and that is highly unlikely.
