I think you're all being a bit mean as they did so much for the island and they are a business after all

Sorry Betsy, I don't think we were being mean at all. I'm not sure they did do that much for the Island. I think as a business, they did better for themselves and it's not as if they were even based on the Island. The major selling point of the Halki Visitor web site was certainly the noticeboard and if it hadn't been for Ian (Mr Moderator) then it would have been a complete disaster. No, again I'm sorry Betsy but this is site far more open and honest and unbiased. There are no advertising restrictions on this site.

Genuine question Betsy, so no offence intended - but what did the Halki Visitor do for Halki? I haven't been able to think of anything.
I agree the newspaper is/was nice to have but ... five minutes read 3 or 4 times a year and that's that. I can't imagine the advertisements made much difference to the taverna businesses, after all, once you're there you're going to try everything anyway.

Perhaps the people who have website links on this board could post a reciprocal link on their websites?

The Halki visitor noticeboard is now working but at present I can only access it by going to the Symi visitor and following the link to the Halki visitor, hope that makes sense
