is there a bus ?? I'm sure I've read about a bus from the airport to KS but you have to ask for a different stop as Kamiros is 'old Kamiros ' .....or have I just made something up ??
and if it does exist ..is it relaible ??

Liz, unless a new service has suddenly popped up, I think you may be thinking of the regular Rhodes Town ~ Kamiros bus. It can be boarded near the airport. It is important to catch the bus to Monolithos and not Kamiros as this latter one goes to Old Kamiros and leaves you well short of KS. There was a sketchy rumour of a small dedicated bus running from the airport to connect with the caique but that was a couple of years ago and like so many bright Halki ideas, probably didn't materialize. Simon may have something to say.

hi, the bus runs from Monday to Friday from Rhodos town to Kamiros Skala at 1.20 pm at the West Side Bus Terminal Averof Street and its passes the Airport between 2.00 an 2.30 pm. You can ask at the Bus Terminal for the wright bus: (Bus to KS, boat to Halki) The ferry is waiting for the bus. There is a bus in the early morning from KS to Rhodos, that stopps at the airport. There are other schedules at the weekend. Schedule website: www.ando.gr/eot/eng/BUS_SPRING.pdfMaria

Going by bus in Rhodes costs only a few Euro or Cents. When we arrive in early mornings, we take the local bus to Rhodos town, walk around, have coffee or breakfast, sit on the harbour, reading books.... then we take the local bus to KS at 1.20 pm, th only disadventage is that you have all your luggage with you. If we go back by early morning ferry to KS, we also wait for the bus. But nobody knows exactly the arriving time at KS. Its between 8.00 and 9.00 am, weekend at 9.30 am. It takes 40 minutes to Airport. Easy going, Maria
