The two of us and our grandson aged 11 flew with TC this year from MAN. We declined to pay the excess and travelled "light".
Our bags at check-in came to 12.8 (mine), 13.1 (hers) and 11.2 kg boys). I have an addiction to taking notes. We managed perfectly well with what we took, with a little bit of washing. If you are prepared to do a little washing and ironing 15 kg is a perfectly practical limit.
The food on TC was acceptable within the limits of what one gets on aircraft but nothing to shout about.
We will try desperately never to travel TC again. We boarded on time, were all in place when we were told that we had to wait for "an engineer" to fly to Rhodes. The b*gg*r was late and we missed our slot. He arrived dripping with gold braid, so he was a flight engineer, and arrived fully of smiles. "How honoured you are to have me come with you," was the look on his face. When we were moving to the runway we stopped. "Instrument fault" we were told (should have been found 40 mins earlier). We were sat in our seats for 2 hrs before we finally taxied to the end of the runway. And of course we missed the ferry and had to stay at KS overnight. The grandson was devastated. Fortunately there was a ferry on the Thurs morning from KS to Halki because of day trippers. We got off the boat and went straight into the Nissia meeting at Costas.
The whole plane was delayed because TC wanted to avoid paying for this guy on another flight.
We have already booked the flight for next year, Monarch MON 7595, which I found only on Travel Republic's website, not even on Monarchs! Strange.

We flew Monarch from Edinburgh this year and I could not fault them. The seats had plenty of leg room the crew were courteous and very helpful. The food was not bad at all for an airline and they were not only on time but early coming home.
Perfect!
