;D It is a little like the Trojan horse, at night and after a few drinks in Costa's bar you can out the names people use , some use their middle name spelt backwards others their pets name It good of Nissia to offer relaxing holidays for ex-military personnel, now which part of the military my guess is The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards ;D Regard we may see you in September , i will be the one with the tartan shorts and bagpipes

The rattling Retsina bottles do give me away I agree, also the fact that I am a rare commodity on here, I am actually called Carol Interesting to note that we all play the same game namely who is who, much debating also went on among our mad little group, we spotted Fatcat on his wifes birthday but would not dream of imposing on peoples privacy and Daisy pointed the Enforcer out to me. Other people recognised us from photos on the old Halki visitor board and it was lovely to have a chat and make new friends, that to me is what Halki is all about ;D

Thanks a bunch Harry! She-who-must-be-obeyed has just emailed me and I can still hear her hysterical laughter from 40 miles away! I am an Englishman! Memsahib is a Scot (captured in a raid north of Hadrian’s Wall) as are the Godfather and his Carer: they have not forgiven me for Culloden (even though I was on leave at the time!) whereas I believe we should have been more thorough with the Highland clearances. My birthday sometimes falls when we are on Halki and the Scots contingent presented me with a “See-you-Jimmy” bonnet complete with orange hair on my 50th. This September a towel printed like a kilt was presented and on my birthday I had to parade along the front with kilt, bonnet and orange hair – the sight of tartan shorts and bagpipes just might push me over the edge. As for being a ‘Donkey Walloper’ never! I was a Paratrooper for the first 12 years then got lazy and for the subsequent 25 years I flew Attack helicopters. I still, but as a civilian, teach the military to fly their armed helicopters but instead of leading them I now just point in the general direction of the North West Frontier and Mesopotamia and let the youngsters get on with it. A ‘Donkey Walloper!!!!’ Sorry, but an insult like that cannot go unavenged. Jiannis knows what I drink - starting from the 2nd September 2009. ;D

Hi Carol. I tend not to play the who is who game too much because I usually get it wrong. It was S-W-M-B-O who pointed you out to me and that was from the board’s photos. I agree that one ought not to intrude on other people’s privacy but once a board member has been outed a friendly “Hi” rather than just an impersonal nod adds to the overall ambience. We, the two of us and the Godfather and co., will be going on the same dates as you. We fly out of Gatwick on 2nd September on the 07:00-ish First Choice flight whereas the Godfather group will be winging their way from Edinburgh. I can feel the breeze at KS already.

Now I am confused Harry. Whilst the offer of exceedingly large highland single malt is a good starting pint to assuage my hurt what is this offer of poison? I always thought haggis was there to be hunted and shot but never eaten. I only tried it once and on my release from intensive care vowed never to touch the beast again; a view shared by the majority of the Highland Heathen. When are you due to grace Hake’s shores?

Carol, although we watched the Mamma Mia DVD on Tuesday the Retsina stock had evaporated, had to make do with a G&T; does that bar me from the club?

Enforcer, G+T is acceptable only when at home so you are welcome to join our club ;D Harry do not expect to see much of the rugby in september, last world cup clashed with a Greek basketball tournament which was on every TV, I think we only saw one game of rugby in our fortnight

We have friends who stayed in Villa Angeliki with Nissia last September, and they said it was great very luxurious inside and out , even had mossie nets fitted in the widow frames so as you could leave the windows open at night, direct access in to the water. They love it and have book to stay there again this year. What time of year are you going?

We have stayed in Villa Christina for the last 8 years it is great and in a wonderful position for swimming and very easy to get to the harbour. We were a little concerned when Laskarina close,But Nissia have taken over with the same staff and have even improved the accommodation with new tables and directors chair outside and sunbed mattress . If you decide to book Villa Christina you will have a lovely time
