Oh yes I can relate to that. We have just installed soft close toilet seats in our refurbished house. Unfortunately I now forget when I am anywhere else and just let the toilet seat cover go and, of course, it crashes onto the toilet seat. I'm surprised we have any toilet seats left in the ladies at work. I also referred to a strange knocking in the house a "knowing our luck it's the black watch beetle". My husband laughed like a drain with me not knowing what hewas laughing at until he explained that he had vision of a beetle walking along our joists wearing the black watch tartan. It's age.......definitely age.......I do it all the time now......

To name but a few: I have walked away from an ATM outside the supermarket, having asked for cash, retrieved my card,... and walked away without the cash (and yes, when I realised, it had gone) Lost my passport in Ibiza and come home on an emergency passport. Realised a couple of days before a holiday, that my passport wasn't in the usual "safe" place I kept it, luckily we have a main passport office here and I got another in time! I can also identify with finding the wrong things in the fridge, cupboards etc on a regular basis!

Blimey ...maybe we should have a new section for the bewildered ;D I, of course do none of those things ;D last week at work we had a power cut so had no computers ...two days later a woman rang and was explaining how she hadn't been able to get her test results ....I said ..''oh yes ..we had a blood clot on Monday!!! '' Later the same day I was trying to organise one of the Gp's appointments whilst trying to fit in time to section someone ....whilst moaning to a colleague I said ....''and after all those appointments he's still got to go out and circumcise someone !!'' Bagsy in the first white van ;D ;D

I can relate to one instance, not me but my mother....... (she was in her late 40's at the time). Money was tight, she was living on her own and her saying was 'money does not grow on trees' and always tried to save cash where ever she could. One of her favourite issues was using the telephone, it could only be used 'for emergencies' and anyone who wanted to use it had to put 10p in the box - fair enough. Anyway, my brother and I turned up at her house one day to visit and we 'happened to have a telephone ' with us (just when technology and BT made the 'new' plug in phones) I seemed to remember we actually pinched it off a site we were working on, but thats another story...... Anyway, after a short while we asked if we could use the phone and before she started on her tirade we produced the phone from the bag and said 'it's ok mum we brought our own, we can just unplug yours and plug in ours it won't cost you a penny'........... she passed away in 1993 and I'm still not sure whether she knew we were having her on........... ;D ;D ;D

Last year got out of the taxi at Kamiros & sat down for a well earned Mythos. A sudden panic then set in as I realised my bag with passports, trav cheques, keys etc etc was in the taxi on its way back to Rodos !! Luckily for me Christos was driving back to the port & flagged down taxis until he recovered the bag. My hero !! My wife now asks every time we leave anywhere if I am sure I have everything I came with.

Thanks for making me laugh. I've only just hit the big 40 but it's definitely starting to take effect, going to the gym without my kit was the start...
a few weeks ago I used the shower at work which is in the mens loo, when I got out of the shower I realised that I had'nt took a towel in with me! ;D I'm sure there's more .

I was once driving home from work down the motorway and the way it can be when you do the same journey, was on auto-pilot. I drove passed my exit before I realised I'd reached it. I had to go miles to the next one to turn around and drive back again on the opposite carriageway ......and unbelievably, drove straight passed that one too! I ended up back where I started Pda ... great story, I will take particular care at K.S.! ;D
