Not seen goat on the menu in Halki. Doesn't mean to say we haven't eaten it there though! We had goat stew in Kefallinia.
The best meal I ever had anywhere was a goat and coconut curry in southern India. Anywhere you see "lamb" or "mutton" on the menu there will be goat.

Goat is very frequently available on Halki. It is not normally seen on a menu. Sometimes on a blackboard. More likely served up as lamb

:)Yried "goat stew" in the dominican once. :oYuk! I'm sure they left the skin and hair on it ;D I tried it because i heard it was supposed to be tasty and tender, which maybe it is...but not the "goat" they served me. Gristly horrible stuff.couldn't eat it. No way ;D

If you get a bit of spit roasted goat in Halki you will love it. Nowt wrong with goat - young and properly cooked. You obviously got an old Billy ;D

I've eaten roast goat on Samos - it was stuffed with rice which had bits of the chopped goat's liver mixed in it. Delicious! That was in the days when I ate meat of course...
