Our dear friends from Messrs Thomas Cook e-mailed me a PDF with our flight vouchers.
They managed to omit the passenger names - these were left blank.
Isn't it comforting to know that the airlines take security so seriously? Whilst we were banned from taking water on board for fear of drowning the pilot and from taking tweezers in case we plucked the cabin crew to death, they issue blank tickets.
I have, of course done the honourable thing and sold these on al-qaeda dot com. (*) Perhaps you should avoid this flight!
Ho-hum
Andrew
(*) not really

How do they survive?? They seem to ricochet from one inept botchup to the next on a daily basis. What a shambles.

I've never come across TC emailing flight vouchers before. Is this a new scheme? Have others had them? Previously if booking late it's been necessary to get just a booking confirmation and then collect tickets at airport, and pay a "ticket on departure" charge. But there's plenty of time before 29 July, so TOD arrangements would not apply yet. Are the flight vouchers you mention the actual tickets for the flight? If not maybe the tickets with names on will be in the post?

muriman, I think it is another penny-pinching wheeze by the travel companies. We booked with FC at the back end of last year and they sent me my flight details that I had to print out and I am required to bring this piece of paper to the check in desk. No doubt some bean-counter worked overtime with his/her abacus.

Thos Cook have now e-mailed replacement vouchers. Yes Muriman - you print these off and are requested to cut off the two vouchers. Helpfully, there is a picture of some scissors alongside the dotted line otherwise I might have cut them into shapes. Like a boat to sail there instead. These are your flight vouchers and they aren't posting anything else. I expect they sent out 300 plus tickets with no names and I wonder how many people will turn up with blank tickets. Will they get turned away? I predict a riot! Andrew
