I usually go in May and October but I'm also going on 1st July this year for a week. I know it will be a lot hotter than in May and Oct but what is it like going over on the ferry in July? I will be on the 2nd ferry so probably arriving on Halki about 8pm. In May and Oct I need a fleece and/or cagoule! Any advice would be much appreciated. Also who else will be there from 1-8 July?

hello, We´ll be there from June 25th to July 4th, same time as every year. It´s hot, nice to go swimming in the morning or afternoon. Nice to read books and do nothing.
We arrive at the airport early morning 8.00 a.m. , going to Rodes town by bus, maybe we find a ferry that goes to halki in the morning. If not, we spend the morning in Rodes town and take the bus at 1.15 p.m. to Kamiros Scala to take the ferry boat there at 2.30 p.m. On our way back at July 4th we are lucky to take the catamaran in the afternoon back to Rodes town, because we have a late flight back. So we have more time to stay in Halki. So long, Maria

Hi Cathy - It can get quite hot - about 140 degrees two years ago on June 26th/27th - but nice wee wind to take the edge off. It's still quite quiet (not like August). Ferry's ok - Edinburgh flight gets in about an hour and a half before the ferry leaves (you probably know that). Might see you there - we're going on the 24th June for two weeks.

At last, the house is sold and we're off to Halki on July 1st for 3 weeks. Like Cathy, we usually go in May/June and September/October, so this is very late for us this year. As it's going to be quite a bit hotter than we're used to I've unfortunately had to go into town and buy some more clothes. I know, it was a real drag, but what else can a girl do? ;D ;D ;D Look forward to seeing you there Cathy, and meeting some of the other folk on here.

Hi Guys,
You could run around naked at anytime, even on the ferry and not get cold! Feeling HOT, HOT, HOT!
Will be there 1st July to 8th. Can't wait! Got my tickets last week and just counting down the days before I reach Paradise!

Hi Papas / Neil You may not get cold, but you may get arrested ;D Only time I've been to Greece in July was Mykonos, it was very very hot and come to think of it .... there were lots of people running around naked then (but only on the beach).
