Internet Access On Halki

Hi there, we are staying on Halki for the first time this coming September - it's been booked for a while. Unfortunately our visit is now coinciding with a house purchase which is going through for us in UK. As a result we really need to have access to emails which may require our attention while we are away. We are staying in Villa Nitsas for 4 weeks, the big red house close to the Police/Port Authority buildings. We are told we will have internet access there, but we are wondering what speed and, more importantly, reliability we can expect on Halki. I can understand that internet access is not the first thing on everyone's list when they come to Halki, but in our circumstances we need to keep tabs on developments regarding the house purchase. Are there also tavernas which offer internet access? Any comments will be appreciated.

Hi .. most places the internet is ok .. I couldn't tell you speeds etc but we've never struggled to connect somehow ..and I do answer work emails when away ..... most Tavernas have internet and the beach tavernas do too, you can connect to their Wi-Fi .

We've had reliable WiFi in all of the 4 different accommodations that we've stayed at. The only time it failed was during a planned power outage this May which the owners had pre warned us about.

Thanks very much for your comments, it sounds as though we should be fine. We were on Tilos just before Covid, and the internet in the apartment was painfully slow.
