HI! We are planning a trip to Halki at the end of May with a few days tagged on the end to explore Rhodes. Has anyone got any suggestions for B&B accommodation in Rhodes old town - not OTT expensive but we don't go away often so would like it to be quite special!

Hi Deborah,
If you want a special accomodation in Rhodes Old Town try the Cava d'Oro Hotel (www.cavadoro.com)
It's not what you would call a bargain but very charming and quiet. It is set against the old town wall with a romantic inner courtyard where you take breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and don't lack anything. From the hotel you can explore the whole old town on foot, it is, however, also accessible for cars, so a taxi can drop you off right in front of the hotel entrance and you don't have to drag your luggage along the alleyways of the old towns.
If you want to economize ask for rooms in their dependancy called "Casa dela Sera", about 100 m from the main hotel. Rooms and facilities are a bit simpler (and less expensive) and you have to walk to the hotel to take breakfast.
Best regards, Ermioni
