Good morning everyone.
After the mucking around changing our holiday from June this year to July next we've just been informed by Olympic that our accommodation is no longer available. So before we accept the changes, any information on the location of Villa Chrysanthi would be a great help. The most important thing for us is if it's any higher up/further back than Villa Nina? It looks very nice and is furnished in a similar style to the Nina, so the actual accomodation itself isn't an issue but if it's up near the top then we might have a problem ๐ So thank you in advance for your words of wisdom

Right, I think we've found where it is.
Up to where the steps start for the town hall building, go left and it's sort of level with the Black Sea Taverna...... So it's just about level with the road running at the back of the village. Bit higher up than we'd like to be, but needs must. The pictures we've seen show a sea view (good thing) but somewhat restricted towards quayside (bad thing). If anybody has a few pictures of the view from the terrace/balcony, they would be most useful. Thanks in advance.

It's marked on the map that shows all my geo-tagged images as being to the left of the steps up to the town hall - about level with the road after it takes the right hand turn on the sharp s bend coming up from Dmitri's bakery. That tallies with some of the external views which suggests it's fairly square onto the main ferry quay. Don't think I've passed through the alley bellow with a camera in recent years, so no up to date shots of the front, only a side shot from this year (as yet unpublished)

Hi Steve.
Sounds about right. Rose's knees aren't looking forward to it but I'm sure I'll find a gentle ish route once we're there, even if it's a slightly roundabout route. Might also make use of the delivery service of the shop at the end of the quayside. Saves me lugging all the holiday essentials back to the room, packs of water, beer and the like.

Hi Tom and Rose, I canโt help with your accommodation but both the supermarkets deliver, Lefteris which is now where Christos had his taverna and the one at the end of the jetty, we made good use of the delivery service offered as we stay almost right at the top of the hill.

Hi Carol
Christos has closed the taverna? ๐ฎ๐
I didn't realise the other shop delivered too. More choice for delivery is handy, what do they charge for the service?

Hi Tom and Rose, Christos has moved to Rhodes, either last year or at the end of the 2019 season, time flies when you are doing nothing ๐ he has opened a fast food place in Rhodes town, rumour has it that he may return when his children finish their schooling. Lefteris supermarket has gone into his space and expanded their range, neither supermarket charge for delivery and give a great service. We found it very useful this time, no more lugging 6 large bottles of water up the hill !!! Kind regards Carol.

Hi Carol
I hope he does manage to return sometime. He always served good food and had a smile for us when we we're there, mind you that could be said for all the tavernas on Halki. Would be good to see him back though. Free delivery sounds great, we'll definitely make use them. Mind you, we would even if there was a charge. Thanks for the info Carol

Another change but this time at our request. Switched from the Chrysanthi to the Chrysodimi. Better placed for the harbour and better views from the balcony
