Good morning from Halki ..๐ and itโs absolutely lovely ! . After a very stressful week that included cancelled ferries and flight changes We arrived on Rhodes on Friday night .. the flight was less than half full and the airport was a breeze .. if you are coming soon .. print everything ! Our vaccination certificates were checked and double checked .. some people who had their certificates on their phones etc were sent for testing but a print out had us waved through and out the airport in 10 minutes ! A lovely night at the Althemenis and then the Nissos Halki over in the morning ! .. again the vaccination certificates were needed and checked .. port authorities are very keen on the mask wearing until well clear of the boats . The weather is glorious ( a bit windy yesterday ) and the island is busy with a lot of Greek and Italian visitors .. itโs nice to see it busy ๐ So Iโll finish my cup of tea and then weโre off out for the day ( Tom I remembered my Yorkshire tea this time ๐) .. have a good day ! ๐

Yorkshire tea is an essential part of any holiday Liz. Glad you've arrived safely and are enjoying some fine Greek sunshine and hospitality. Rose and I both have our paper copies of the vaccine certificate. Don't want to mention home time yet but we were wondering if a hard copy of the lateral flow test would be available from the clinic? We do like our tech but with having the correct documents being so important we feel more at ease with physical evidence in our hands.
By the way, we like our tea really REALLY strong with barely a drop of milk and no sugar. Something you can stand a spoon up in.
Have a most pleasant time, we wish we were there (even though we don't like the heat of this time of year).
Cheers Tom and Rose

Tom Iโll let you know re the hard copy .. but I *think*you have to enter the reference no on your plf along with the reference for your home test .. ( although no one looked at the plf )

Just had a quick look at my PLF and there doesn't appear to be anywhere to put the lateral flow test result and providers reference - only the Day 2/ Day 8 PCR test providers reference. Have to show it at the airport - my e-mail with the Certificate was clear and that was all they wanted. Don't think you'll be able to get a hard copy as Nik is doing them late pm on your final day so as to give them the max window in case of flight hiccups.
E gates at Gatwick border control working as normal - didn't like mine (always seem to pick the faulty gate) but Sandra sailed through first time of asking. My in-person passport check was all small talk and no requirement to show the PLF. Problems reported at Heathrow only seem to be only at that site.....

Hi Liz, great to hear you are having such a good time on Halki. We are due to fly out in September and I have sent an e mail to the address Steve gave to get info regarding booking the pre test on Halki but I have not had a reply. How did you book your pre test, was it before you left the UK with info@kavala.gr? Thanks for any info

Thanks for the quick reply Liz. They did eventually reply to my email, but didn't send the PDF as yet so have used the copy you supplied. I have all this new technology. Believe it or not we don't have a smartphone so I've had to Google how to scan from my tablet - I'm definitely a luddite. However, forms now completed and test booked. Just need to arrange the day two test and we're all ready to go.๐ค๐ค
