Hi,
i am visiting Halki for the first time and today walked up to Chorio. On the way we passed several dogs chained up but they were obviously cared for and then not far past Pondamos beach on the left hand side we can across two retriever type dogs, very very thin, chained up with piles of excrement next to them, they are very neglected and I don’t know what can be done to help them. It was very distressing to leave them. Can anyone help?

Unfortunately there is no resident Vet on Halki .. there is a lady who visits from a ( I think ) German rescue centre who often helps out with sick or injured animals but I don't think she's there at the moment .. who are you travelling with ? you could ask your rep if you are with Olympic or the owner of your property if they know whose dogs they are .. they may be able to help you ..
