First album completed - the best of my black and white film images. One or two will have some familiarity about them from past albums but I think most are new or from a different perspective. Album to be found here Halki July 17 (mono)I plan to follow this with more film images, this time scanned from slides covering the waterfront and the main urban area - but this will be interrupted by a trip to Italy, so it'll take a longer to complete. The third album with be Alimnia. No castle or sunrises this year - too hot in the first week which rather sapped the energy for anything other than short trips before Dimitri's opened at 7am.

Thank you for your latest offering. The combination of the early morning light and the deserted pathways with the black and white photography give a timeless feel to the island.

Thanks. The colour album to follow was also mainly shot between 06.30 and 07.15 - my favourite time as the combination of the early light and the landscape of the setting shows Halki at her very best. Shame so few people see it for themselves

Steve, There is something quite magical in the mono. Another superb collection. I salute your talent and attention to detail. I confess that cameras were never my strong suit and early mornings on Halki even more challenging!!
Thanks for another collection of a 'window on Halki' .

Thanks j90. Mono does have a special feel - more so if it's film as opposed to a desaturated digital image. Next year will be adding a different angle - just taken delivery of one of my older bodies converted to infra red. It excludes most of the visible light spectrum, so it's got some colour tint to it's images. Should prove interesting. Just hope EasyJet don't down size their cabin baggage size or I'll be struggling!
