Hello all,
I am new to this board, happy to find a place with lots of info on Halki! So here's my question. We will need to fly back from Rhodes to Italy on Monday August 28th. I already found info on the boats times, and the bus times... as it seems, we can only travel from Halki to Kamiros Skala (no boats to Rhodes town on Mondays) on that day, and there is only one bus from Kamiros Skala to Rhodes airport, at 7am. Our flight is in the evening, so we'd like to leave Halki a bit later than 6am-ish. I wonder if anyone has experience of taking a taxi from Kamiros Skala to the airport, or a shared car or anything else, and could share their experience and info with us? Costs, times, etc etc. Thank you so much in advance.
Roberta

Hi Roberta, you should be able to get one of the ferries from Halki to Kamiros Scala at 4pm which will get you there 5-5.20pm depending on which ferry you catch, we get the owner of our accommodation to pre book us a taxi to the airport when we need it or I am sure the owner of the taverna at Kamiros Scala will book one for you. Allow about 30-40 minutes from KS to the airport, not sure of the cost now as we have been getting the Prevelis or the catamaran lately to Rhodes and staying overnight but I seem to remember it was about 60 Euros but it was a few years ago, someone will no doubt be more accurate.
Hope that helps, ask away if there is anything else you need to know.

It was 60 euros from Rhodes town to KS in May in a taxi and strangely enough it seems to be the same to/from the airport as Carol said allow about 40 minutes for the taxi ride

Many thanks to both of you for the info! Hopefully we can find someone to share the taxi with so to make it a bit cheaper... Best wishes,
Roberta
