OK, I give up -I've been trawling the internet for ages trying to identify these plants that I photographed last year. A Google reverse image search (upload the image to Google and it finds similars on the internet) just got me lots of photos of green olives! I might be pretty rubbish at plant knowledge but I do know these are not olives . If it helps at all, these were by the track to Gialia beach but they were also growing around Chorio as well. They were several feet tall with the green bit (seed head I suspect) at the end. I'm sure someone here will have the answer. TIA David.

Hi, This is the seed head of the Dragon Lily, it's a really spectacular plant. We were on Halki from 11th May and walked up to St George Chapel and they were still in flower up there. It's a very large magenta single head lily, you will find it on line, I've tried to add the photo I took but the file is too big and I don't know how to size it down.

Many thanks for being the first to reply to my post Ketut. Now I have a dilemma I also posted this morning on the Halki facebook group and got the answer of Arum Italicum. Looking online they seem pretty similar with the same kind of berries (and certainly part of the same family of plants) but different. Not sure what photo caption to go with now! Many thanks again for taking the trouble to reply. Kind regards, David. ETA After further research and comparing your photo to others online, I'm sure your answer is the correct one
