On a Saturday in June I'm hoping we will be able to cross from Halki to KS latish in the afternoon on a ferry taking day-trippers back to Rhodes (subject to checking the previous day that one is running!), to get a Thomson flight to Bristol due to depart Diagoras just after midnight (ie check-in from around 10pm Saturday evening). There seem to be two options: (1) spend some time at KS, have meal there, then taxi to airport; or (2) go straight to airport, then we would have several hours to fill. I know there are a few taverna-type places within walking distance along the road from the corner of the coach park at the airport, but they seem all rather noisy with traffic etc. Does anyone with experience of catching a late-evening or night flight to UK have any better suggestions? With baggage a long walk won't be feasible. My preference would be for option (1) but this depends on ferry times, taxis availability etc and may not work out. (It's a pity the Prevelis is not scheduled to run a few hours earlier than it is on its June timetable.)

Catching the Easyjet flight leaves us with several hours to kill before the coach goes to KS, so we've walked down to Paradeisi's main square where there are a couple of tavernas. Road forms the top side of the square and it's not been a great source of irritation. Might be slightly different on a Saturday night but there again the square won't be as empty as we find it lunchtime midweek! It's about a 10 minute walk from 'arrivals', so allow 15mins to get to 'departures'. Paradeisi's Vallantis and Eleni's home base so they may have a few suggestions.
