It is quiet Sth .. still has a few visitors daily ... I do wonder about closing it sometimes but then it seems to perk up for a bit

Pity to close. I know you have talked about it but traditionally it stalls in the winter months. Enjoy the festivities.

I agree with sth. I don't "do" FBook, and visits to this site from time to time or occasional contributions are a reminder of visits to Halki itself.

A very happy New Year to everyone from me too. I think there is great value in a site like this because of the permanent and searchable information in the archives. I have found out so much by going through the various threads -which has really enhanced my trips to Halki. I am a member of the Facebook group but find that ( by its nature) everything is so fleeting there -here's todays sunset/sunrise photo (thanks, but I know what that looks like ). Here I can easily refer back to threads from months or even years ago to find detailed information on walks etc which people have kindly given me. I've just posted a few links to this forum on my various social media sites and added a permanent link on my Greek islands blog -so hopefully we might see some new members signing up and asking lots of questions about the lovely island of Halki. Questions that I know members here will be happy to answer. Kind regards, David.

Following one of longest quiet spells on this site that I can recall, I wish everyone connected with it in any way, a Merry Christmas and a Healthy & Happy 2019. I'm now off to spend Christmas for the first time ever in a hotel. Who knows, I may just find a couple of familiar faces propping up the bar!!!!
