On 16/08/15 Whisper, Halcyon, and Kinygos II went to Alimnia for a light picnic lunch and a swim. I dropped the anchor on Kinygos II and Whisper and Halcyon rafted on to Kinygos II. For the return trip I borrowed Georgie and, after Whisper and Halcyon had cast off we weighed anchor. Georgie took the wheel and we soon caught up with, and passed, the other two. The sea had roughened up a little, but Kinygos II had no problem. Halcyon used our wake as a flat piece of sea. Then Georgie said, “Shall we slow down for them?” I said “Why?” and Georgie opened the throttle… We moored stern-to at the pontoon. You will see the traditional Greek mooring with several metres of rope on the surface. This is an “interesting” innovation which is designed to foul the propeller of neighbouring boats! I use the electric outboard to pick up the mooring buoy which I pass to Georgie to take to the bow while I pull us in on the stern ropes. This is a safe way of getting in since children have a habit of jumping in at in opportune moments. Well this is Greece!

Great day. Can we do it again when you come over? 1) I am going to give you the raw videos of this and I am sure you will produce a better result than I have done. Likewise I will give you the videos of the abortive fishing trip on the 17th. I am sure that your artistic ability is greater than mine! 2) This is now fishing season and trips to Alimnia will have to fit in, but I am sure it can, and will, be done. 3) Maybe I will go slower for you next time! Calling all photographers, and users of "Action Cameras" I installed a couple of Midland XTC400 on the metalwork of the hard top. They were near the spray so I used the waterproof cases. They point across the cockpit sole of the boat at an angle. I have tested both cameras, and they function perfectly, however on the boat they do not. They record on microSD cards and I get unreadable and short files on the boat. I suspect that the temperature is causing this. The waterproof case is probably the problem, or is it? Does anyone out there have the answer?
