Given Halki images the fast track this year (jumped the queue for publication ahead of Peru). Three set again this year: Halki July 2015Covers the main water front area and some of the back streets of the main village. Mainly digital images but includes a number of (scanned) colour slide film. Some familiar old favourites and a few new ones. Halki July 2015 - Beyond ImborioCovers couple of sunrises, the castle, Chorio, the churches of the old village (and on the way down) plus a few around Kania. Mainly digital images but includes a number of (scanned) colour slide film. Difference between the two formats is very evident up around the castle when the very saturated characteristics of the Velvia 50 is very strong whereas the digital images are more 'restrained'. Had to get up at 4.30 to get to the castle for sunrise, the good old Prevalis acting as my alarm clock that day! Halki July 2015 (Mono)Covers the waterfront, the main village and some bits of the hinterland beyond towards Pondamos. Album is entirely of (scanned) monochrome film images, so is a bit different as the format tends to emphasize textures. Hope you enjoy them

Thanks very much Steve, very much appreciated, monochrome is still a very effective medium isn't it ?

It is JTB - 8 of my top 10 most viewed images are monochrome film images. I like film as it's a bit more honest than desaturating a digital image.
Glad you enjoyed them.

Thanks Liz. Few different locations this year - found the various small church interiors quite interesting and worth sharing as I suspect most here don't get to wander round the old village in the (relative) cool of the early morning or wander up dirt tracks with map in hand to find those hidden spots.

Outstanding as usual Steve. Prevelis at night was inspired.

Thanks j90 - Prevalis going south out of the bay was shot at 5.22am and her arrival from Rhodes was my alarm call for the walk up to the saddle at the eastern end of the harbour to get sunrise. Will power needed for the 4.15 rise to get up to the castle though.
Thanks for your kind comments Curiouser
