To prevent further posts after 14 years working on Halki 9 of those building up Nissia Holidays we will be leaving the company at the end of May to give us more time for our new venture

Good grief, the Nissia bashing has started early. There are myriad reasons why Lynne and Peter have decided to leave Nissia and it is actually none of our business. The 'support' we give Nissia is the same as the support we give Waitrose or Tesco - we give money and they provide goods/service. Besides, according to people who have just returned from Halki there is very little difference with the service. The tourists are met at the airport, transferred to the island, met on the quay and directed to their apartments; the faces may have changed though Meni et al are still there but the Nissia ethos remains. Rather than sour grapes we ought to thank Lynne and Peter (Nissia) for rescuing our Halki accessibility after the demise of Laskarina and leaving a legacy that is being carried on by Meni (Nissia) and her team and wish Lynne and Peter well in whatever future they decide upon. However, if in the not too distant future Lynne and Peter turn up and anchor a massive 'Gin Palace' in the harbour then I will join with anyone who tries to sink it  |

Nissia bashing ? No not at all, I wish Meni all best wishes & success and I am sure she will continue to give a sterling service.

Hello Peter, I just feel that there is an air of secrecy about your and Lynne's departure and I thought you may have wished Meni all the best and thanked the Nissia customers for their support over the years.
