I know it is late in the season,but it is early for next year.
Has anyone stayed in the hotel this year ?
Does anyone have any views on the hotel and will it be open next year ?

Can't give you much up-to-date info, I'm afraid - I've stayed in the hotel in the past, but not recently. However, I was nearby earlier this year and it was fairly busy during early July. It has a nice harbour-front position but is on the edge of the village - that's a positive or negative point depending on what you prefer. The hotel can occasionally get busy with conferences, when people in formal suits can be seen walking around. It can be handy for short or irregular-length stays. In the past its management seems to have been erratic. Others may be able to supply more up-to-date or detailed info, but whether, and if so when, it will open next year may not be known with certainty until.......next year.

Despite the hotels change of owners (several?) in recent years and the refurbishment etc it still doesn't really seem to feature on anyone's posts, would love to know: A) is it actually open for business, and B) is it any good?
Went for a meal there in 2013 I think it was and it was decidedly average despite looking amazing (definitely style over substance then at least).

No meals or drinks available now. Skeleton staff. Only one or two guests. Minimal service. With so much else available now on Halki it really is not worth the effort. The hotel management/ownership probably has another agenda!!!!

Gabriella does go there every day looking after reservations, bookings etc., but has said that it is very, very poor. As I said, probably another agenda!!!

Definitely a real shame to hear as its a truly lovely spot and could be wonderful if correctly managed...
