Has anyone stayed here please? What side of the harbour is it- what I really want to know is if its on the sunny side? Coming to Halki in September (20th) Usually an October visitor, is it loads busier in September?
Also have booked flights for next June on BA. Is the non sunny side of the harbour sunny at that time of year?
Thanks!

Not far from the hotel if memory serves me correctly. Next but one to the police station.

Hi, helengardenlady. We have stayed in the Erah several times, though not in recent years. The accommodation is on the middle floor of three levels (the owner sometimes uses the lower floor but the top floor seems to be rarely occupied). As sth has said, it's towards the left hand side looking from the sea, to the right of the police station - it's actually next but two to the police station, the intervening properties being the Nitsa and the Margarita; a little further to the right is, I think, the Alexandros.
In late September the front terrace/balcony gets all the morning sun. Later in the day, the sun goes "behind" (ie on the inland side) of the properties on this part of the harbour frontage, but the harbour-facing terrace/balcony at the Erah projects far enough from the main building to get sun for most of the day, until about mid to late afternoon. The location is very handy for nearby steps into the water - good for swimming in late September. Unless the internal layout has changed, it's a bit quirky, as there is (or was?) a semi-blocked-up opening, possibly a former serving hatch, between one of the bedrooms and the kitchen; but that's a minor point. As regards June next year, I reckon you would have as much sun as you want, even in the afternoons, but you may be able to judge this when you are there in September.
Yes, it's busier in September than October, but all things are relative. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

The Villa Erah, has a large balcony ideal for swimming from, just down steps that pass the accommodation below.
Friends stayed at the Villa in September when it was with Direct Greece, plenty of sun in the morning but very little in the afternoon.
