If you mean the stone building put up a couple of years ago & left as a shell - yes, it's fully operational as the kitchen. Lot of people over there on Wednesday when we walked over via the fish farm & the desk plant

Yippee, a current events report, thanks Steve. On Wednesday I brought Kinygos II over from Fanes. Once again I had to have her antifouled by Tsampikos as my arthritis problems discourage me from doing such things. I had intended to take some pictures of the journey over and arrival, but as usual, I was preoccupied. In particular the turbo on the diesel engine was stuck as usual on the first trip and I pottered along at trolling speed (2000rpm = 6 knots). I kept trying to open the throttle.. and nothing. Then I was passing Kamiros Scala and this time the turbo span up and she reared up and galloped off at 4000rpm = 22 knots! As you can see the turbo makes a difference! I am hoping I will catch up with stevec and take him out for some really professional pictures, but I am going back on Sunday for a few days so we may miss each other. WHAT ABOUT MY CAMERA? Welllll I was all set to show you exciting underwater shots starting with an anchor overlaid with a polygonal light pattern from the surface ripple. I got that, but total immersion at the age of four years was too much for the poor thing and it drowned, not with a flash and a bang but with a whimper. A new one, two models on, will arrive soon courtesy of Amazon.

Simon - saw you had a problem with your mooring as well. Wondered what the reason for the loop round Nissos island was about. Hope the turbo gets sorted without too much pain.... Don't worry about the photo op, always next year if the project hasn't been completed.
JTB - weather today v interesting. Started with heavy cloud with dark grey tint and blue sky poking through, gradually cleared to ordinary white cloud to north & south of Halki and occasional small "intrusion" overhead. Otherwise pretty normal Halki day with only a single load of day trippers (c/o Nissos Halki).

Otherwise pretty normal Halki day with only a single load of day trippers (c/o Nissos Halki). I had to lift and re-lay my anchors due to the actions of one of those oh-so-superior yachties ripping them out when lifting his anchor which had been placed out diagonally. I used Kinygos II with the engine at a prolonged tickover, so twice I took the boat for a fast burnout to clear it. The last time round Nissos. The turbo is fine since Kamiros Skala. It was just stuck after the winter lay-up; it is now free. There is still time to meet up as I shall not be going until 16:00 on Sunday. (You have my mobile number.)

As promised, this is the last picture with my Sony Powershot D10 underwater camera. "Greek anchor with polygonal light patterns."
