Has anyone stayed at Villa Petraki or Kiki Studios (top) recently I notice Olympic have these two properties. Any reviews would be great and do Olympic hae a rep on the island if not who looks after them.

In 2012 friends stayed in Petraki. Great views and close to the harbour but plagued with cockroaches and extremely close to neighbour with a dog. Ok if you like dogs I suppose but wouldn't be my choice. I doubt it has really changed much.

That neighbour with a dog is usually in residence for the bulk of the season. He has always had Bassetts and to my certain knowledge they have been well behaved and not in the least noisy. I find it difficult to believe the dog would have been a problem.

I find it difficult to believe the dog would have been a problem. Completely endorse sth comments about the dog. Lovely animal. Never heard or seen him do anything other than sit in the shade. Miss him when he's not there. |

I think if you read Fergies post again it says ' extremely close to neighbour with a dog'.. there's no mention of behaviour/noise .... some people like dogs,some don't  |

Calm down dog lovers! No offence intended. My friends loved the dog but if like me you are not a big doggie fan you might prefer a different choice of accomodation. Personally I wouldn't stay there because I like a bit more space between us and the neighbours and the cockroaches were a problem. We are all used to the ocassional "visitors" but that was bad.Only trying to be helpful.

And you were  Personally, I love dogs so would be made up (and I have photo's from Skiathos dog rescue to prove it - I am just about visible under a mound of dogs  ) - not particularly fond of cockroaches though so would probably opt for somewhere else  |
