sth "Dating-who cares?" At your age not many I guess, besides which Mrs. sth might have something to say about that! Just don't mention dentures to her. You might find that damaged tackle takes on a totally different meaning! Take care.

Kinygos - my scanner was the model down from the one your thinking of - nice to have but there are Plustek scanners at a lot less than that which will do a similar job. When I bought mine there weren't good, credible alternatives to the Coolscan (or the Minolta equivalent) plus they kept their value on E-Bay if I decided to sell it on. I haven't as I still shoot film and want to digitise it.
I use Lightroom for my image adjustments. Simpler to use and it's non destructive - i.e. any changes don't affect the original. It has most of the tools found in Elements. Also an excellent management package for keeping track of everything - which become more important as the digital library expands.

I got the blower and the PEC-12 plus a Reflecta X7-Scan. The resolution is actually not as good as the flatbed, but it does take 110 negatives in a specialised holder and it is very quick. I have done before, and after, scans and seen the benefits of cleaning the fairly clean negatives I have in the UK. I am sure that the results with the ones in Greece will be even better. The limitations of the 110 format are the main factor in quality of course. I will look into the software "Lightroom". Anyhow thanks for the advice!
