We are monitoring the flights for next september and since the demise of XL the prices have climbed dramatically, we want to fly from Birmingham, well not strictly true, we REALLY want to fly from Cardiff but no chance of that unfortunately and at the moment the 7am Thomsonfly flight is going to cost us £837 !!!! This is ridiculous and will make us think very seriously before booking independantly again, needless to say we are going to wait a while before booking to see if the prices come down at all  |

Snap! We've found the same thing. Even for flights now the prices are anywhere between £550 and £800 for the two of us.
The only reason we're going now is because I found flights at £236 for the two of us, with Thomsons. Too good to miss!
Which reminds me, I'd better get back to the packing!

Try jet2.com.
Flights from Leeds are approx 150 per head return next Sept & are at the right time for the ferry.

Just booked flight on 2nd sept 09 from Gatwick TC 07.50 for £586 inc 20kg luggage and meals, the Birmingham price went up again to £916 so we gave up and will be on the flight with Daisy and Fergie, yippee ;D ;D

It's worth looking at Easyjet,I think Stelios will be trying to pick up the slots that XL had and also Aegean are looking competitive for next year

hi this is the 1st time ive used a site ! the jet2.com flights are £1000 cheaper than thos cook for us in August (5 of us!)Are they at all risky re going bust, or is it better to go thos cook to be on the safe side? any advice welcome!I havent been back to Halki for 17 years I cant wait!staying at Villa Fiona, it looks great!
