They are excellent pictures Simon , thanks for posting them I know it must be time consuming with the maps etc but its lovely to see them and have an idea whereabouts they are Is it rocky in the sea around that side ? what I mean is ..is it deep straight away ( it looks it ) or is it rocky underwater so you cant get near to shore ?

It is time consuming and frustrating when Photobucket refuses to reference the maps. 06 Is being difficult at the moment. Kinygos II does not have much more than one metre draft, but I tend to keep clear just in case. The general rule is that what you see continues under water. I do not like going into the bays as my depth sounder is non functional and bays are likely to be shallow. That said I have been into Areta as it is a known beach. It is worth noting that in the beach of Areta is a large rock. If that were to be further out and just submerged it could do me no good at all. I was forced against my better judgement to go into Kelia on a day when the sea was a bit rough, not that it shows in the picture. I was not at all happy about it. At all times keep away from rocks! If I know the drop-off is steep we sometimes get close in for Jack, and I got caught out once near Kamiros Skala; idiot. The span of 5 metres on the outriggers, plus a couple of metres is more than close enough!
