1. BY BOAT FROM KAMEIROS SCALAAlternatively, you can take the small local boats, the καίκι (caique) from Kameiros Scala, a small port on the west side of Rhodes: the boat leavesevery day at 2:30 p.m., and the trip takes about one hour (€10/person).

There are two local caiques which run the boat service between Halki and Kameiros Skala.They are the Nikos Express and the Nissos Halki. The journey time is 1 hourand 15 minutes and it will cost approximately €10.Chalki-Kamiros Lines, 85110 Halki, Dodekanissos. 2. BY SPEED BOAT FROM KAMEIROS SCALAThere are other modes of transportation from Kameiros Scala as well. Awater taxi, called Kazandzidis, is run by Alevandros and also leavesKameiros Scala daily and many times twice daily. He returns to KameirosScala from Halki every morning . 3. BY THE CATAMARAN FROM RHODES HARBOURDodecanisos Seaways performs sea routes to and from Rhodes a few times aweek. Their website for bookings is: www.12ne.gr and their telephone numberis:

Just thought it was worth mentioning, for anyone travelling independently over the summer, that we arrived to Karimos on a wed early (before 2pm) There was no early ferry and I was told that both the nissos express and the Fendon left at 4pm. The children wanted to get the new faster Boat but our bags were whisked onto the old boat before I had paid the taxi! I was not fussed so left them there. Though both told us they left at 4 , in actual fact the new one left at 4. The old one left just before 5 as it waits for olyimpic and nissia. So anyone getting a taxi and wanting the fastest boat, make sure you get the taxi to drop you higher up the hill so you can put your cases on the new boat which will get you to Halki by 4.45 instead of 6.15! ;D

We were lucky enough to get aboard and have a guided tour of Fendon when it arrived in Halki in May, really hoping that we can travel on it in September though hope not to offend crew of Nissos Halki which we have used for donkey's years.
