Hi all,
I have been offered accomodation in either Villa Paola or Villa Dorothea. Having no first-hand experience of Chalki I am at a loss what to opt for.
Can anyone point out pros and cons of both places, please?
Thanks a lot.

From the "view" aspect, Paola wins hands down. Totally uninterrupted view of the whole harbour.

Paola. Next door to Adelais. Through the church yard, left, past Petraki, fork left up towards Captain's Pension. Two houses up on the left overlooking the large ruin on the harbour front. Adelais is the larger on left, Paola smaller unit to the right. Superb position. Haven't been in either for over 20 years but had family use Paola regularly at that time. Lower bit was a small separate studio and the upper, accessible by outside stairs, had a pleasant front living room with a good balcony, bathroom and entrance in the middle with a double bedroom at the rear. There used to be an all in one cooking/ fridge unit etc to one side of the living space. It has had a facelift this year but have no idea what has gone on inside. Always liked it. It can be accessed from the front by a rough path. From the side from Captains Pension by a small road and from the rear off the top road. I knew who owned them and probably still does but I have no idea who looks after the rental etc. nowadays

Stayed in Dorothea on our first ever visit to Halki so holds a special place for us ;D
Have no knowledge of other property but would be inclined to go with sth's appraisal ;D

Both let through Zifos Travel. Both nice. We've stayed in both. Dorothea has twin beds. Paola a double.
Both have bedroom and a separate kitchen/diner.
There would not be much to choose from for me except that Paola has a smaller balcony than Dorothea and we found it difficult to sit out together.
We stayed a year or two ago and it had a cooker and a separate fridge-freezer then. Also a couch in the living area.

Sorry, I said couch. I recall now that it was a wooden chest with some thin cushions on top. Not to be used as a bed. As I found out one night when OH was snoring!
