Sorry no-one's replied Liz!
The only ones I know of are the apple & halva one we had last year which came on a piece of tin foil, and this year on greaseproof paper; and the little cheese-cakey thing we had this year too. Can't remember before that - as my friend used to say "I've slept since then".
We always bring halva back with us and for a few weeks we make the dessert (yes it's two s's, one s is the sandy variety). Thanks for reminding me, I've got loads of apples and could make it tonight.

After eating enormous amounts of pizza a dessert does not bear thinking about

Oh ... I can somehow always manage to think about dessert ;D Mind you ... that's probably why I have a panic attack when I start packing and having to think about what I am going to wear on the beach each year

I don't know if it's the one you were mentioning - there's no pancake involved.
This one has slices of eating apple covered with thin slices of halva which they put in the pizza oven till the halva melts and browns on top. The greaseproof paper goes all brown and charred and looks quite attractive!
We put ours under the grill which works fine but of course the apple isn't cooked, just warmed. I have been known to part-cook the apple in the microwave first. I sometimes sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on the apple too.
You can get halva in supermarkets here, and in some delis. I think it's quite widely available now.
