Ftenagia out of season

Took this photo of Ftenagia on thursday (12th April). Nothing on the beach but weeds and sheep and the place was lovely and peaceful - just the sounds of the sea. It will all be very different in a few months!

Are any of the stone sculptures still standing at Ftenagia? Or will Harry have to get busy again in May?

Think Harry needs to bring superglue this year, don't think anything high survived.

A few of the cairns remain but the top stones have come off. Harry will need to get busy.

I think actually Harry can only claim the tallest one that was nearest to the sea, and which he built in May. I guess that went quite soon after the end of the season.

It was amazing to see all the others when we returned in September. We were told they were mostly built by an Italian family staying at Ftenagia just before we'd arrived.

This was not out of season, it was before any season. Taken in the late 80's.
