Is anyone traveling with Olympic from Manchester in 2012? If so are you with Strategic Airlines? The 'recent updated' revised schedule appears to lose 12 hours 05 mins from arrival on the Wednesday to departure. Anyone any idea why this is?

The aircraft probably makes a complete round flight to another UK airport before doing the return leg to Manchester. Been happening for yonks. Most airlines don't do it. If you have the time and sufficient patience to dig deeply into their flight scheduling, you will probably be able to find the answer. On the other hand of course, could be an error!

Hi Ruffers - Yes I'm on the Manchester flight, the change of flight times is a total pain - I had just booked hotel for the Wed night and a train the next day to get back up to Scotland and the very next day I got the letter from Olympic telling me about the change of times. I go on the 23rd as well so if I don't see you at Manchester airport I'll see you at Rhodes :-)

Hi Cathy - I didn't realise that you also fly from and to Manchester, I had to contacted Olympic regarding another matter and I couldn't help myself and mentioned the flights - having already tried and done the airline link as suggested by sth to see if the plane was going to another destination before coming back to Rhodes. The Olympic rep stated that she thought that it may be an error and someone at the airline had typed 1.35 and not 13.35 and it could well be changed (again!) at the start of the season - however, she also stated that this could not be guaranteed. A bit of a pain as like you I am also returning to Halki in September and I am on the same flights! - Looking forward to meeting up with you again.

Sorry Ruffers for the late reply! I'm hardly ever on here, last year was the first time I had gone from Manchester when they cancelled the Glasgow flight after I had the tickets! Got the tickets now for May but still hopeful the times will change especially the return flight , not holding my breath though! See you very soon :-) :-) :-)

For anyone traveling on Strategic from Manchester with Olympic Holidays, I can now confirm that when the Manchester flight lands at Rhodes it goes to Birmingham and back before setting back off to Manchester - hence the flight times
